Our Mission, Vision, & Values
Mission: Why does the PAFAC exist?
PAFAC exists to honor the legacy of Esther Webster by connecting people to the arts.
Vision: What does the PAFAC aspire to be?
PAFAC is a cultural jewel known for presenting the arts in all of its forms in a unique environmental setting. We aspire to be the place on the Olympic Peninsula where discovery and exploration of the arts enriches the community and inspires the artist within each person.
Values: What does the PAFAC believe in?
• Place
We value this unique place—the Esther Webster Gallery and Webster's Woods Sculpture Park—as a permanent place where people come face-to-face with the arts in a natural setting to deepen artistic awareness and celebrate creative expression.
• Stewardship
We believe that transparency and careful stewardship of our resources, including our collections, facilities, investments, and historical records are essential to the fulfillment of our mission. Esther’s legacy is our greatest resource and provides the bridge to our future. We care for and conserve it and share it with people through creative installations, education and programming.
• Engagement
We believe that by engaging our community in a spirit of mutual respect we deepen our community bonds and each individual’s appreciation for the arts, thereby strengthening our organization.
• Diversity
We value diversity in the arts we present and in the audiences we attract (host/entertain). We invite and respect diverse viewpoints and experiences of participants as reflected in all aspects of the arts.
• Innovation
We value the past and embrace the future, understanding that the need and desire to change and evolve does not minimize nor detract from the past. We provide a venue where exploration in new and different forms of artistic expression may thrive.
