Port Angeles Fine Arts Center Staff
Christine Loewe has more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership including serving remotely as the Director of Communications for the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County for the last 10 years while living in Port Angeles with her two children and husband.
Loewe brings her expertise in communications, marketing and community engagement to the Executive Director role to help raise the visibility of the center and create new community connections.
Aside from her nonprofit leadership, Loewe also brings a deep passion for youth enrichment and education. Her career has included guiding international trips in multiple countries, running trail building crews with teens, and teaching outdoor education both locally and throughout the country. Previously serving as the Teen Programs Director for the Olympic Peninsula YMCA, she engaged hundreds of local youth in outdoor adventure, community service, and leadership activities.
Gallery & Program Director
Sarah Jane is an artist and educator with a passion for making meaningful experiences that can be accessible to viewers of many different backgrounds. She has exhibited and taught art internationally, and her studio practice centers around site-specific and participatory works in a wide range of media. Sarah Jane holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Kentucky, and brings more than a decade of experience in gallery work, art education, and community arts programming. She is delighted to be a part of PAFAC and the Port Angeles community.
Community Engagement Manager
Rachel is an artist who is excited by witnessing and working with people who are passionate about their art and ideas. She has exhibited her own work throughout Michigan, in addition to organizing two fundraising art shows in her previous home, Marquette, MI. She holds a BA in Photography from Northern Michigan University.
Rachel brings an eclectic toolkit from her varied work experiences as a cheesemonger, biological science aid, photographer, dishwasher, farmhand, and retail sales associate. She is thrilled to be a part of the intersection between art and community as the Community Engagement Manager at the PAFAC.
Youth Programs Coordinator
Mandy has over 15 years of experience working with children in outdoor and environmental education. As an educator and outdoor enthusiast, she is most excited to be connecting local youth to nature, art, and science through the unique setting of the PAFAC.
