Undersea Garden: A Voyage of Wonder and Imagination
Exhibition Dates: September 12 – November 15 Presented by Tangled Fibers, a collaborative group of four Olympic Peninsula fiber artists. Using fiber, color, texture and whimsy, the Tangled Fibers artists will create kelp, tide pools, octopus, sea stars, nudibranchs, jellyfish and other forms of life found under and over its shores. Tangled Fibers dedicates the exhibit to the diversity of the Salish Sea—a celebration of the patterns, colors and textures of sea life. |
Studium Generale | Strait Art: An Anthology of Exhibitions from the Upper Left-Hand Corner
November 5, 12:30pm via Zoom Studium Generale will celebrate the publication of Strait Art: An Anthology of Exhibitions from the Upper Left-Hand Corner, a book of essays by the late Jake Seniuk, artist and longtime director of the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, and stunning images of the art and photography these essays engaged. |

Virtual ArtBites: Creative Collaboration
Friday, September 25, 6–8pm This intimate lecture series exists to foster vibrant dialogue about topics that relate to the arts. Our Creative Collaboration event featured the artists from the Tangled Fibers group—an established group of artists who have collaborated over the past four years, and the artists behind our Undersea Garden exhibition. Together, we dug into the heart of creative collaboration and what makes this such a potent approach to art-making. |
Summertide: Solstice Art Festival
June 20 — September 22 Celebrate summer solstice with the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center! New artwork has been installed in Webster's Woods Sculpture Park and an updated park map and virtual tours are available online. Enjoy the park and its art collection while practicing safe social distancing all summer long. |
Well+Being: A Juried Small-Works Exhibit
July 11 – August 30 This juried exhibit features works that broadly explore issues relating to physical and mental health—including but not limited to overall health and wellness, healing and recovery, public health, chronic illness, disability, addiction, and of course the impacts of Covid-19. |

Earth: An Abstract
Virtual Gallery & Curatorial Talk April 18 – June 28 Honoring the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, this exhibit features 50 abstract artworks that reference the natural world: celebrating the earth’s beauty and diversity, exploring the science of the natural world, and addressing the environment’s very real vulnerability. |
Obsessed: The Art of Nerd-dom
January 11 - March 15 Reclaiming the once-pejorative term “nerd” to mean anyone who obsesses over created content, we’re taking a glimpse into the artistic side of nerd culture and our innate desire to expand upon the creative content we love. With artwork ranging from literary illustration to comics to game design, this exhibit celebrates the irrepressible creativity and playfulness of nerd culture in the Northwest. Hosted by PAFAC and NOLS Port Angeles Main Library and Co-curated by Sarah Jane & Ginny Holladay. |
