Students encounter Jim Lapp's kinetic sculptures
|
Since 1990 the visual literacy of Clallam County students from pre-school through college has been enriched by PAFAC's Art Paths program, which provides close encounters with the art of masters such as George Tsutakawa, Dale Chihuly and other noted Northwest artists. Last year Education Curator Barbara Slavik and her cadre of Education Docents worked with over 4,000 Peninsula youth.

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center is located on five acres of gentle in-town wilderness, which includes towering evergreens, verdant grottos, magnificent marine views, a spongy bog, and a central meadow amphitheater. Over one hundred sculptures and site works are integrated into this setting. Most are unlabeled, making the viewer search to discover and distinguish man's work from nature's.
