Anna Andersen
Shakespeare in the Woods Artistic Director

Anna is a transplant from California where she worked extensively as an actor and director. As Program Director for Shakespeare by the Sea, she had a hand in the early stages of one of the most prominent Shakespeare companies in Los Angeles, and directed the inaugural production of their offshoot company, Little Fish Theatre. 2013 saw Anna working as an actor at the Fort Mason Theatre in San Francisco, and helping to initiate the development in Berkeley of Shakespeare in John Hinkel Park. When a family emergency brought her to the Olympic Peninsula in early 2014, Anna was thrilled to find a thriving theatre community. In addition to co-founding Shakespeare in the Woods with PAFAC, and acting as Artistic Director for the past 5 years, Anna has had the pleasure of working at OTA, Peninsula College, and PACP. She recently directed Peter and the Starcatcher at the Port Angeles High School, and was lucky enough to inherit a wonderful program for developmentally disabled actors at Clallam Mosaic.
