Our evening will begin with a reading, “art is never enough,” from the play A Bright Room Called Day, which will be delivered by Peninsula College student actor Ashley Rosser.
This will be followed by a panel-style discussion featuring theatre professional Kelly Doran and visual artist Sarah Jane. Ms. Doran’s current projects include leading Peninsula College students through the development of a theatrical production on opioid abuse, and instructing incarcerated students through the Black Prisoners Caucus at Clallam Bay Corrections Center. Ms. Jane is the founder and facilitator of Mere Objects, an ongoing participatory artwork that honors people who have experienced sexual violence.
Our conversation will be facilitated by the Fine Arts Center’s executive director, Jessica Elliott, and will include time for questions and insights from the audience.
